ANNUAL REPORT: 2022-2023

Bharat Mata Sr. Sec. School, Naya Raipur strives for excellence in each and every effort taken, so as to achieve transcendence.

Bharat Mata Sr. Sec. School, Naya Raipur has been stepping from success to success all through the years since its humble beginning in 2016 and the past year has been no exception. We have done excellently in academics and non-academic areas. BMSSS presents this report to highlight its achievements made during the year gone by and at the same time set the path for greater accomplishments in the years to come.

The display of academic performances in our school leaves no stone unturned. To create an atmosphere of learning, we generate opportunity for the students to interact with each other and   to know each other’s perspective, to plan and work together for a better world which they visualize and aspire. The series of workshops and seminars were conducted for the teachers to make them well equipped with teaching techniques.

The academic year 2022-23 began with great fervor and vigor. The school re-opened on 1^st April in a prayerful atmosphere imploring God’s blessing upon Bharat Mata family. The institution is run by the Congregation of JMJ. In the school we are working under the leadership of Principal Sr. Thomasamma Pedakotla in exclusively interesting management style in a friendly atmosphere and to promote wholesome development of the children. To make the learning process excellent we implement integrated teaching methodology to excel academically.

The School Curriculum Activities:

In the classes emphasis was given to the theme-based teaching with lots of importance on speaking skills along with other skills. Also, enough focus was given on fun activities such as art, dance and music classes along with physical education. Curriculum was developed in such a way that it insured meeting the needs of our students to make students more competent to face future challenges.

Art Integration:

CBSE introduced the concept of art integration in the National Education Policy so we have integrated art in all subjects in such a manner to make learning joyful.

Co-Curricular Activities:

We have conducted many co-curricular activities for students like Rakhi making, Rangoli making, Fancy dress competition, Poster making, Paper folding, Paper bag making, weather wheel and Gift wrapping etc.

Examinations:

Subject enrichment activities were done by the students and teachers evaluated this as internal assessment. Also, the Class Tests, Unit Tests, Half yearly and Annual Examinations were conducted on the assigned dates.

Celebrations:

Investiture Day, Independence Day, Teacher’s Day, Children’s Day, Christmas, Hindi Diwas, Maths Day, Constitution Day and Republic Day were celebrated.

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS:

We are committed to impart quality education. The students are taught in such a way that they improve their self-discipline in work, play, in being responsible, strategic thinking, good conduct, team spirit, community service and volunteerism, aesthetic sense in appreciating nature and being creative. The children are taught to be honest, to be a good human being, to care, to help and to respect others. We also imbibe confidence and courage in them.

SPORTS DAY:

The event began with gathering of the students at the school premises with positive spirits, sportsmanship and challenges.

Our students actively participated in different sports competitions such as Lemon race, Frog race, Bombing the city, Chair race, Sack race, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Cricket, Slow cycle race, Relay race, Short-Put and various other races. Our students won various trophies, medals and certificates in these competitions.

ENVIRONMENT EDUCATION

To imbibe the students with the nature we conduct different activities like:

• Plantation
• Vermi- compost
• Exposure to garbage management
• Essay competition
• Green day celebration
• Poster and Chart making competition
• Earth Day celebration

In this process the teacher allows the individual to explore environmental issues, engage in problem solving and take action to improve the environment. As a result, students develop a deeper understanding of environmental issues and have the skills learned and make responsible decisions.

INNOVATIONS:

Our school has formed different Eco Club, Clean India Club activities by which students came out with innovative ideas and made working models, posters and write-ups with the support and guidance of teachers.

Keeping the importance of nature in mind we have also organized “Best out of waste” in which students showed keen interest to prepare models.

OVERALL RESULTS:

Over these six years our school has given result-oriented performances in the field of education.

PTMACTIVITIES

Our school has organized PTM’s at regular intervals to interact with parents for discussing all the issues related to students for the betterment of their future.

IMPORTANT SMC DECISIONS

SMC is being formed according to the norms of CBSE and meetings are held regularly.  Important decisions are taken as per the instructions and discussions with nodal officer and DEO.

RAIN WATER HARVESTING:

The school has well planned rain water harvesting system in the school building and campus. Due to this system water is conserved and there is no wastage of water and the ground water level is maintained well. Therefore, there is no shortage of water in summer season.

RECYCLING ORGANIC WASTE:

In the classroom, playground and at various places dustbins are placed for the disposal of waste. This organic waste is collected at the back side of the school premises and further converted as manure which is used for plants.

PLANTATION:

Proper plantation is done in school premises in which medicinal plants, flowering plants and big trees are there. Green day is celebrated for the awareness regarding plantation among the students.

AWARENESS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION:

Teachers motivate students for conservation of environment, through different activities like: Poster making, drawing competition etc. students plants sapling on green day and they are motivated to water the plants on regular basis.

STAFF ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS:

In the vast and diverse field of education, staying updated forms a vital parameter to enhance the process of teaching and learning. Our teachers constantly strive to learn and perfect their skills by attending workshops and training programs. A few of them include 21^st century skills for an effective teacher and Engaging students holistically, Effective Teaching learning, Enhancing Life Skills- Problem solving, Emotional Intelligence Innovative pedagogy in English, Recreational Mathematics, Stress management, Integration of Arts in English, Common errors committed in Mathematics etc.

CBSE Affiliation Senior Secondary Level:

The school is affiliated to CBSE pattern upto Senior Secondary level.

As we present this year the Annual Report, our hearts are filled with gratitude to God for His protection and care. May Bharat Mata Sr. Sec. School at Naya Raipur come up with good strength and standard. We express our heartfelt gratitude to all our students, parents and well-wishers of our school whose constant support and guidance has helped us to maintain high standard of education and discipline in our school.
